GREATER EKURHULENI EISTEDDFOD 2018

The Greater Ekurhuleni Eisteddfod was called into life by the National Arts Association in 2017 after the realization that there is need for a much wider pond where talented students could cast their nets.

Here, students from more than 40 schools and more than 20 private organizations will be awarded the opportunity to display their talent and compete with the very best winners from various eisteddfods across the Greater Ekurhuleni area.
To qualify for participation, participants have to obtain a 85% in any Eisteddfod in the item they want to compete in at GEE – thus providing the highest standard held in this prestigious one of a kind regional competition.
Only esteemed NAA adjudicators will be allowed to judge at this event in the various sections of Drama, Dance, Vocals, Art, Modelling and Writing where students will get to showcase their talents and grow their love for the performing arts.
GEE wishes to raise the bar, develop talented students and reward worthy participants in the form of certificates, medals, trophies and over-all awards to the winning participants.

Greater Ekurhuleni Eisteddfod is open to all school-going students from Grade RR – Gr.12

Greater Ekurhuleni Eisteddfod is affiliated with the National Arts Association, the Gauteng Public Speaking League, Gauteng Performing Arts Association and only uses RAB (Raad van Afrikaanse Beoordelaars) and ATKV accredited judges and industry professionals working in the field of acting, dance, music and art that are signed with legitimate agents.
