Learners will only compete in their own specific grades, so the competition is age-oriented and it gives learners the opportunity to develop their talents, to improve public speaking and to open the art of public performance to more children.

LALT Eisteddfod

It is open to all students and allows participants to compete in two different eisteddfods and receive two certificates and two different opinions while doing the same performance.

Greater Ekurhuleni Eisteddfod

The Greater Ekurhuleni Eisteddfod was called into life by the National Arts Association in 2017 after the realization that there is need for a much wider pond where talented students could cast their nets. Here, students from more than 40 schools and more than 20 private organizations will be awarded the opportunity to display their talent and compete with the very best winners from various eisteddfods across the Greater Ekurhuleni area.

Accredited Eisteddfod Adjudication Course For Drama

The NAA offers South Africa’s first comprehensive adjudication course to deliver qualified and NAA accredited adjudicators. All trainers, teachers and adjudicators who work with students need to attend this comprehensive course which will guide and shape you as an educator and adjudicator to better assist students in the art of eisteddfod performance. It will no doubt nurture educators and artists alike and provide an additional source of income once you are a qualified adjudicator.

This fun and informative teacher’s course will no doubt hand you the tools to prepare for your next big competition, knowing what to expect as well as how to prepare for the various items on offer.

The NAA offers South Africa’s first ADVANCED teachers training course for Drama Education to equip qualified and NAA accredited trainers to beter assist talented students who participate in competitions and/or can use dramatic arts in the classroom to inspire and educate.
